"I think it's very difficult to know when the illustration is finished, so I have to trust my instincts."

Where are you from?

I´m from Burgos, but currently I am living in Barcelona. I studied fashion design at the School of Art in Spain and took fashion studies certificate course in Oporto. While working in fashion industry for last 5 years I met hundreds of consultants, business leaders, managers, trainers and educators who taught me how to use creativity as a serious business tool. This is the reason why I believe in myself and aim to express creativity through my work.

Tell us a little bit about your inspiration behind your creations.

I travel for work a lot and rarely for vacation. I am usually holed up inside even though I’m in great cities like Berlin, for fittings, or London, which I visit two times a year. So I wouldn’t say travel is a big inspiration for me, but that’s not to say that I don’t sometimes see something when I’m on the road and get moved by it.

What is your creative process: do you sketch at first, listen particular music, collaborate with other artists, etc?

In my fashion illustrations, I cut and mix images own and others, through the use of stitching and fabrics, paint with watercolors and edit everything by photoshop and illustrator programs. I think it's very difficult to know when the illustration is finished, so I have to trust my instincts.

In fashion design, I can´t explain. Each collection is a different process. I like to experiment with different technologies such as 3D printing.

Where do you shop for your fabrics and other materials?

I find fabric all over the world. My collection produced in several countries: Spain, Portugal Belgium and UK. The research work on 3D vision, new materials and different treatments is the major part of the process.

Do you have favorite artists, designers, scientists, etc?

All time favorite designers are: J.W.Anderson, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Rick Owens, Gareth Pugh and Alexander MCQueen.

All time icon is: Sophie Amorouso.

All time photographers: Txema Yeste, Charlie Engman.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I hope…I’ll live enough time to bring all my ideas to life and discover what I haven't learned yet.

What is your favorite color?

A complete grayscale.

Your favorite place on Earth. Your dream place.

The favorite place is my studio-showroom in Barcelona.

The dream place is Los Angeles, I really like to have the mix of fashion and cinema in one city.
